How to install Eggdrop 1.8 (eggdrop's official SSL, IPv6 patch) - assumes you know and have TCL and you know Eggdrop well

The first thing you'll need to do is install the git program and all basic development libraries. If your OS has eggdrop in the repos this is a bonus as you can install the build dependencies for that and be almost done. You need to install the openssl devel libraries (on Debian, this is libssl-dev) since Eggdrop 1.8 supports SSL.
git clone git://github.com/eggheads/eggdrop-1.8
make config eggdrop install
And then configure your eggdrop almost as normal, taking note that now you can use SSL servers using the + option before the port number, and that vhost4 and vhost6 are used instead of the old my- sets.
